Days Gone – The Wind That Blows Over The Feet Of The Corpses

Happy to be able to present my newest piece today, entitled Days Gone – The Wind That Blows Over The Feet Of The Corpses. The piece was inspired by the old Welsh phrase / tradition of “Gwynt traed y meirw”, an easterly wind that was seen as a portent of either the death of a relative, or as a sign of good luck, depending on which bit of folklore you believe, or where you were. It is so named as the wind comes from the east, and bodies were traditionally buried with their feet pointing east.

I’ve not completed a piece the last few months as I’ve had to concentrate on a few other things, such as preparing for upcoming (and now past exhibitions), developing items to sell at the Etsy store, and keeping the other work going to pay the bills, etc. I’m trying to get things going again, and there will be another piece in the next week. I have to do some other things as well related to the art that isn’t actually doing the art, but there we go, that’s life, in it?!
